In The Dark is a dynamic 7-track labor of love from Nigeria’s viral sensation, Mizzle. This self-produced project features an array of Afrobeats elite including, Wande Coal, Niniola, Sarz, and Oxlade. This sensual and percussion-filled body of work showcases his vocal dexterity and production prowess with an edgier, more mature sound. Whilst some may attribute the name of this EP with the flirty connotations heard in tracks like ‘BDSM’ featuring Niniola. The title mirrors Mizzle’s groundwork as an unknown artist and understudy to Sarz. Mizzle was essentially ‘In The dark’ like a planted seed; every step in his journey has allowed him to germinate and bloom.

Mizzle’s musical career kicked off in 2017 with the release of his first EP, creed. He catapulted to fame in 2021 with his viral ‘How To’ Tik Tok video series. Here he created songs In likeness of popular Afrobeats artists which gained the attention of celebrities, fans and blogs worldwide. His first video reached 100k views on its first day! Trending globally led to many great opportunities including collaborating with afro-pop prince Oxalde and legendary Wande Coal, who both feature on ‘In The Dark’.

When describing the creation of ‘In The Dark’ princess, Mizzle said: “This project is a reflection of my journey and growth as an artist, songwriter, and producer. I’ve sacrificed a lot of time behind the scenes learning and improving my skills and it’s finally time to present my new vision to the world. With songs I’ve written about my current state and songs I’ve written about my love life, this EP represents a large chunk of y mind, how I feel about women, and how I see acrobats in general. I invite you to come to my world and experience everything I became while I was ‘In The Dark’.”
